Abstract

707,024. Vehicle lamps. AUTOPAL, NARODNI PODNIK, and STUMPER, J. March 19, 1952 [March 20, 1951], No. 7061/52. Class 75 (4) An electric headlamp comprises a lampholder 1 for one or more lamps 20, 22 adapted to rest on the edge of a central opening in a reflector 6 and a cover 7 for the lampholder connected to the reflector by a bayonet joint and accommodating resiliently supported terminals 12 engaging the contacts of the lamps, the arrangement being that the terminals are pressed against the lamp contacts and the lampholder is pressed against the edge of the reflector. The cover 7 is cup-shaped and surrounds an axially extended neck 17 of the reflector, the bayonet joint between cover and reflector being formed by outward pins 16 on the neck and slots 8 in the cover. The edge of the neck is bent inwardly to form supports 4 for the lampholder ; holes in the supports 4 receive locating pins 5 on the lampholder. The terminals 12 are carried by a member 9 made of insulating material and having guide pins 10 slidable in openings in the cover. Coil springs 11 disposed around the guiding pins bear against the cover and against the carrier member 9 and are compressed when the cover is connected to the neck of the reflector. The terminals 12 consist of hollow rivets extending through the cover to current conductors which are inserted in the bores of the rivets and are fastened therein by soldering or by pinching the rivets.
