Abstract

1,125,438. Lampholders. PRESSAC Ltd. 9 Dec., 1965 [11 Dec., 1964], No. 50501/64. Heading H2E. The plastics body 1 of a bulb holder has secured to it, by a metal ring 6, a plastics bulb retaining and supporting member 3 which is provided with two arcuate projections 5 for receiving the bulb, and a further metal ring 7 for mounting the holder on an instrument panel. Spring blade contacts 9 are each retained in an aperture 8 in the body by a projection 15 on the body which engages an aperture in the contact. In a modification, each contact has a tongue which engages an abutment in the body. Each contact is crimped to the conductor and insulation of a lead 12. In a further modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), one contact, instead of extending through the body, is connected to the panel via the metal rings (6) and (7).
