Abstract

1362010 Lampholders CANNON ELECTRIC (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 26 Oct 1972 [26 Oct 1971] 49624/71 Heading H2E Two resilient insulating members 1, 11, snap together, retained by latches (12, 13), Fig. 3 (not shown), and between them is trapped a tape cable or flexible printed circuit, 7, located by pegs 4, 5, so that its conducting strips are pressed against the base contacts of a lamp, by resilient curved beams 2, 3, bridging the frame of the first member, 1. The second member, 11, in the embodiment shown, retains a bayonet lamp shell by slots 15 in a metal liner 14, of which the projecting ears 16, 17 serve to latch the assembly into a panel aperture and also to provide an earthing contact. The tape 7 can alternatively be led away through slot 6, dispensing with peg 5, as in Fig. 2 (not shown). Lamps of single contact and of screwed shell are accepted in other embodiments.
