Abstract
666,097. Lamp-holders. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and WOOD, C. W. May 26, 1950 [July 26, 1949], No. 19635/49. Class 38 (i). A holder for a double-ended bayonet-capped lamp 5 comprises a body 1 provided with resiliently-mounted contacts 9 and having a partly-surrounding sleeve 13 slidable thereon so as to engage the lamp cap 12 and to retain the lamp in position. The sleeve 13 has a tongue 14 which engages the lamp cap 12 itself earthed by a spring-leaf 15 projecting from a recess in the body. Each contact 9 is mounted on the end of a box-shaped member 7 which slides in a rectangular body recess 6, against a corrugated spring 10 connecting the contact 9 to a binding- post 11. Sloping faces 8 on the members 7 guide the cap contacts to the holder contacts 9 and the body is slotted at 16 to allow a cap bayonet-pin to enter. ,
