Abstract

584,887. Lamp caps and holders. COLLINS, A. F., and LONDON PASSENGER TRANSPORT BOARD. Feb. 2, 1945, No. 2632. [Class 38 (i)] A lampholder suitable for double-ended lamps having bayonet caps as pin contacts, comprises a sleeve 1, threaded or otherwise removably attached, to a socket 4 secured in a cylindrical casing 12. The lamp envelope 2 is supported by spring fingers 6 formed in the end of sleeve 1 or, as shown, in a sleeve 5 secured therein. A slot 11 in the boss 9 of the socket 4, accommodates the leads 8 when removing the lamp from its holder 10.
