Abstract
461,009. Two-part couplings. WEARHAM, J. Aug. 8, 1935, No. 22444. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A tubular metal lampholder A is slotted at the lower end to engage a secondary holder I adapted to be screwed into a socket in the battery container N for use as a torch or lantern, the holder A being electrically connected with the battery by extensible leads. The lamp bulb B is inserted in the holder A, which is preferably slotted at C, to engage its central contact with a central contact E<5>, carried by an insulating disc E<2> held by bent-over tags E<3> on an annular resilient metal disc E resting on projections in the holder. The leads are connected at one end to the contact E5 and the disc E, passed through holes H, J and connected at the other end to the central and threaded contacts L, K of the part I.
