Class 39(2) The reflector 5 in the head 4 of an electric battery lamp has a slot passing through the apex and an arm 13 is pivotally mounted on the head and carries two or more bulbs in threaded holders 14 so that a selected bulb can be brought into operative position, where it is in electric connection with one pole of the battery. For this purpose, the head may carry an insulating disc 16 supporting a stud in contact with the central pole of the battery and bearing a spring contact 17 to engage the centre contact of the bulb. The arm may be moved into a position where no bulb engages the contact 17, thereby avoiding the necessity for the separate switch. The outer electrode 2 of the battery may be threaded at the top end to receive the threaded stem 7 of the head 4 whereby a separate battery casing is rendered unnecessary. The power of the bulbs used may be different or the bulbs may be of different colours.
