The lampholder of the parent Specification is modified for a bi-pin capped fluorescent tube by replacing the socket by an insert 2 having recesses 16 for the plunger contacts 10 and the reception of the lamp pins, the remainder of the construction being substantially the same as that of the parent Specification.
