Abstract

881,131. Holders for lamp globes. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 18, 1960 [Oct. 5, 1959], No. 33683/59. Class 75(2) In a lighting fitting in which a holder for an electric lamp and a surrounding decorative globe are separately supported in coaxial relationship, the support for the globe comprises a cantilever arm having bowed ends drawn together to clamp them around a neck on the globe. The arm may be mounted on the same bracket that carries the support tube for the lamp holder. In the form shown, three supporting tubes 5 terminating in lamp holders radiate from a central control supporting member 1. The globes (not shown) for the lamps are each carried by a pair of spring strips 9, 10 having bowed ends 11 to engage the neck of the globe, being drawn together by a bolt 13. The invention may also be applied to lamps and shades supported from a wall plate.
