Abstract

613,203. Two-part couplings combined with fuses. PARSONS, Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. June 15, 1946, No. 18078. [Class 38 (i)] The cover of a holder for a cartridge fuse is provided with resilient means which cause the end caps of the fuse to be retained in close contact with trough-shaped contacts in the holder. The embodiment shown comprises a plug of which the body 10 contains pins 14, 15, 16 and trough-shaped contacts for the end caps 35, the pin 15 being integral with a troughshaped contact 13 and of which the cover 11 carries spring plungers 29, 30 which engage the fuse body to hold the end caps securely within the trough-shaped contacts. The upper portions 32 of the contacts 13 are wider apart than the end cap diameter and are joined to curved portions 33 which lead to converging portions 34.
