Abstract
445,864. Two-part couplings. TURNBULL, A. P., 23, Fullers Road, Chatswood, and ARCHER, P. G., Central Railway Station, Sydney, both in New South Wales, Australia. Oct. 15, 1934, No. 29465. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1933. [Class 38 (i)] In a lampholder or like fitting the supply wires are gripped by a divided conical plug 9 which is forced against an inclined seating on a shoulder 7 of the shell 5 by means of a nipple 10 which is screwed into the shell and is formed with an apron 14. The shell 5 may be screwed onto, or formed integrally with, the support 3 for the contact holder 4. The support 3 may be integral with the holder. The plug may be formed with recesses for the wires and the passage in the nipple may be filled with a waterproof compound.
