Abstract

442,350. Couplings. KNIVETON, F., 29, Fyfield Road, Enfield. June 27, 1935, No. 18458. [Class 38 (i)] A lamp-holder b having a base a with a channel d therein for the reception of an insulated twin lead i has a pair of knife-edges e, e' at opposite sides of the channel in electrical connection with the lampholder contacts. The knife-edges may be opposite to one another or may be staggered. The lead i is pressed down by a central protuberance h on a cap f that screws on to the base a and has lugs g for securing the lamp holder to a support. An insulating skirt k screws on to the holder and may be made of rubber or other resilient material to form a watertight joint with a lamp inserted in the holder.
