Abstract

460,832. Electric couplings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Sept. 9, 1936, No. 24607. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1935. [Class 38 (i)] A moisture-proof contact socket or lamp holder of the Edison screw type, for mounting on a wall 20, has a resilient sleeve 4 contained within the socket and adapted to engage a portion of the lamp bulb 34 above its metallic base 35, a gasket 28 also being interposed between the socket and the wall. The gasket has a number of depending bushes 29 which pass through apertures in the wall and form fluid-tight sleeves for a number of lead-in wires 24. The device is intended particularly for mounting a lamp on the inner wall of a refrigerator.
