Abstract

461,912. Two-part couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and QUANCE, F. G. Sept. 27, 1935, No. 26770. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for a tubular lamp is rendered weatherproof by means of a rubber gasket 4 shaped at the top to fit against the lamp and having walls 6, 7 around its periphery that engage outside and inside the side and end walls of the holder 1. The lateral contact of the lamp extends through a hole 5 in the gasket and slightly compresses the gasket between it and the holder. The contacts are carried on the base of the holder 1 and the latter may be mounted in a second gasket 8 having a peripheral wall 9, a cable inlet 10, and holes 11 for the fixing screws.
