Abstract

525,479. Lamp brackets. GEORGE, L. T. Feb. 22, 1939, No. 5842. [Class 75 (iii)] A wall lamp comprises a fixed wall bracket 1 incorporating an electric socket terminal 16, and a part 8 which carries an electric lamp-holder 10 and a plug terminal 14, the part 8 being detachably supported by the bracket 1. The part 8 is interchangeable with an oil lamp if necessary. A hook 7 on the part 8 engages in a recess 6 on the front of the bracket 1. The terminal socket 16 lies opposite an opening 5 in the front wall 4 of the bracket 1, and is carried by a spring strip 17 attached to a cross-piece 18. When the plug terminal 14 is being plugged in, the curved end 19 of the spring strip can be pressed against a stop 19a.
