Abstract

408,970. Lamps with trough-shaped reflectors. RIANT, H. S., 73, Canonbury Road, London. Oct. 18, 1932, No. 29157. [Class 75 (iv).] A holder or mounting for a tubular electric lamp comprises a longitudinal frame member 1, lamp sockets 2 mounted at the ends of the member 1, a reflector 11 adapted for fitting around the lamp tube 4, and spring devices 12 mounted on the member 1 and securing the reflector in position simply by pressing it against the lamp tube 4. The spring devices each comprise a spring strip 12 having one end secured between the lamp socket 2 and the frame member 1 by screws 3 and having the other end formed or provided with a cuved cradle 13 fitting around the reflector. The cradle 13 is provided with one or more indentations 15 engaged by one or more pips 14 upon the reflector, so as to prevent rotation of the latter from the position in which it is set. The frame member 1 comprises a channel member closed by a similar channel member fitting inside it, so forming a conduit for electric leads reaching the terminals 8 through openings 9.
