718,384. Lamp fittings. SMITH, Ltd., H., and SMITH, H. G. Dec. 15, 1952, [Dec. 14, 1951.] No. 29289/51. Class 75 (2). A fitting for electric lamps comprises a base 1 to which a well glass 3 is secured, a recess 4 in the top of the base for receiving and supporting the head 7 of a lampholder, a hole 5 in the bottom of the recess through which the lampholder depends, a conduit box 12 or a plate mounted on the top of the base to cover the recess 4 and to retain the lampholder in position and means such as threaded pins 10 for securing the conduit box or plate to the base. Rubber sealing rings 15, 17 are inserted between the base and conduit box and between a shoulder on the well glass and the base.
