[Class 38 (i)] A fitting for use with a remote switch has a terminal isolated from the main terminals, for connecting the supply line to the switch lead to take the place of a separate junction box. The usual terminals 24 of the fitting, such as a lampholder 21, are located within a boss 15 on the base 10 and receive respectively the looped-in supply line 33 and the lead 34 from the switch 37. The additional terminal 28 receives the looped-in supply line 36 and the lead 35 to the switch 37. The terminal 28 is isolated from the terminals 24 by being located in an annular space 32 in the cover 16 which screws on to the boss 15. The cover 16 also clamps the flange 19 of the holder 31. Specifications 9492/00, [Class 38], and 22198/13, [Class 38 (i)], are referred to.
