Abstract

536,273. Lamp-holders. BRITISH-THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and HAWKINS, F. J. Dec. 8, 1939, No. 31829. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for a tubular discharge lamp having a pair of pins projecting from each end, has a slotted base 1 into which the pins are passed laterally and then, by rotating the. lamp, moved into arcuate slots formed between projections 10 and a circular opening in the cover of the holder, until the pins engage resilient contacts 5, as described in Specification 526,713, and press them into engagement with contacts 6 connected to the supply terminals 11 completely enclosed by the cover.
