Abstract

683,397. Tubular-lamp fittings. C. W. C. EQUIPMENT, Ltd. Oct. 30, 1950 [Oct. 31, 1949], No. 27834/49. Class 75(iv) [Also in Group XXXVI] In a tubular lamp fitting 1 having oppositely arranged carrier walls 2 supporting lampholders 3 to face each other, each lampholder 3 has stop-ended guide pins 4 extending from its back to be slidable in apertures in the associated carrier wall 1, spring means 8 being arranged between the holder 3 and the carrier wall 2 to urge the holder away from the wall. As shown the guide pins comprise screws 4 having sleeves 7, the end stops being formed by the screwheads 5 themselves or by washers 6 between the screwheads 5 and the sleeves 7. Each spring 8 is of shaped blade formation having locating apertures 10 to receive the screws 4, additional locating lugs 9 being provided to seat in corresponding recesses in the lampholder.
