Abstract
536,336. Lamp-holders. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO. Ltd. Nov. 9, 1939, No. 29747. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1938. [Class 38(i)] A holder for a tubular lamp comprises a body member 14 having a cover plate 13 both slotted at 15, 28, to allow of the introduction of pins projecting from the end of the lamp cap into engagement with contacts lying within the slots 15 and bent to form recesses 25 to receive and retain the pins. The contacts may be single blades 12, Fig., 3, mounted, against shoulders 22 and secured by a suitable wax &c. 23. Alternatively bifurcated contacts 38, Fig. 4, may be used bent to fit into recesses 40. Specification 526,713 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises a holder, Fig. 5 (Cancelled, not shown), with a single slot into which both pins are inserted, the contacts consisting of double blades with their pin-engaging portions spaced along the slot. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
