Abstract
630,045. Lamp-holders. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS, Inc. Aug. 1, 1947, No. 21088. Convention date, March 9, 1943. [Class 38 (i)] A socket for a double-ended electric lamp, having contact pins, particularly a fluorescent lamp, comprises a body 1 recessed at the rear and containing resilient blade contacts 3 held in position by projections 6, 7, 9, 11 in the body and by a back plate therefor. The upper ends of the contacts are notched at 5 to clamp the lamp pins between them when the latter are inserted in a truncated triangular opening 26 at the upper end of the front face of the body. A plate 16 for securing the holder to a reflector has a reduced portion which passes through a hole 21 in the body, the outer end of said reduced portion having bent-over tongues which secure both the plate and the back plate to the socket.
