Abstract

222,086. Benjamin Electric, Ltd., (Assignees of Juergens, J., and Benjamin, R. B.). Sept. 17, 1923, [Convention date]. Holders.-A shock-absorbing socket comprises a shell 11 provided with a bayonet groove 16 and resiliently connected with a base member 10 by springs 12 - - 15. The springs are secured to the shell by eyelets 18 and have extensions 12b - - 15<b> fitted to the base member. The extension parts may be connected with the terminals 22. Flat contact - making portions 12<a> - - 15a of the springs are provided with stamped out slots 12<c> leaving edges which keep the terminals of the mounted device clean. The base is provided with an opening 19 and recesses 20, 21 forming a clearance between the base and shell. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the holder may be applied with incandescent lamps. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
