[Also in Division H1] A battery charging device comprises a metal casing formed from a tube 2 having at one end a portion 3 arranged as a removable slip fit for insertion of a battery to be charged into a chamber 4, and at the other end a portion 1 arranged as a tight press-fit to hold a light bulb and contact assembly. The portion 3 includes a recessed contact plate 5 insulated therefrom by a plastic sleeve 10 and spaced from an insulating disc 5a by a rubber cushion 11, the disc 5a carrying terminal pins 6, 7 of different diameter and connected respectively to the plate 5 and portion 3 by leads 8, 9. The Provisional Specification relates to an embodiment having a two-part casing of insulating material, the parts being screwed together and the negative pin 7 being connected to a contact ring engageable electrically with the bulb when the parts are screwed together.
