Abstract

885,170. Two-part couplings. ENFIELD CABLES Ltd. April 1, 1960 [April 7, 1959] No. 11794/59. Class 38 (1). A fused plug comprises an insulating disc 3 housing a fuse 20 in a bore closed at one end by a brass contact plate 16 and at the other end by a contact pin 2 screwed into a brass member 11. A supply wire is soldered to terminal lug 18 attached to the plate 16. Another contact pin, which may also be fused, and an earth pin are also mounted in the disc 3. An indiarubber body 27 is moulded around the disc 3 and resiliently urges the contact 16 against the fuse cap.
