Abstract

767,307. Two-part couplings. PLESSEY CO.,'Ltd. March 3, 1955 [March 3, 1954; June 27, 1954], Nos. 6195/54 and 18514/54. Class 38(1). In a plug or socket connector wherein pin or socket contacts 6 are held in bores in an insulating block 5 contained in an internally flanged metal shell 1, the terminal ends of the pins are surrounded by a resilient block 7 which is compressed between the block 5 and a disc 8, and on to the connections between the terminal ends and leads 15, by a ring 10 screwed into the rear end of shell 1. The socket carries an externally screw-threaded coupling ring 11 fitted with an internal sealing ring 12.
