Abstract

879,864. Two-part couplings; direct connections between conductors. SAUNDERS, A. H. Nov. 20, 1959 [Dec. 24, 1958], No. 41652/58. Class 38 (1). A resilient socket 1, plug or other connector part has a screw-threaded extension 3 terminating in a conical portion 4 against which the splayed-out end of a lead 6 is clamped by a conical surface 10 on a sleeve 7 screwing on to said extension. As shown, the connector is located in a two-part casing by a portion of the casing which enters the reduced diameter part of the connector between the socket and sleeve.
