Abstract

917,389. Two-part couplings; lamp-holders. RELIANCE-CLIFTON CABLES & INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS Ltd. April 14, 1959 [Jan. 14, 1958], No. 1359/58. Class 38 (1). An electric coupling comprises a base 1, e.g. of rubber, moulded in one piece with the insulation 3 of a supply cable 4 which connects with sockets 5 and 6 incorporated in the base and opening into a shroud 2 which is formed with the base I and which receives a lamp-holder 7 having contact pins 8 and 9 co-operating with the sockets 5 and 6, the pins being electrically connected to a metal insert 10, e.g. in the form of a screw-threaded lamp-holder, as shown, mounted within the holder 7. The pin 8 and socket 5 may be of larger diameter than the pin 9 and socket 6. The base 1 may be formed with a flange for the attachment of a fixing clip 15.
