Abstract

922,951. Two-part couplings. WOLSEY ELECTRONICS Ltd. Oct. 1, 1959 [Oct. 20, 1958], No. 33390/58. Class 38 (1). A connector for a coaxial cable comprises a moulded insulating body 10 having as inserts a central pin contact 11 and an outer shielding contact 12 which project from one outer end of the body for co-operation with a corresponding connector, the inner end of the pin 11 being bored to receive the centre conductor of the cable and the inner end of the contact 12 being formed with resilient arms 16, 17 embraced by a metal ring 18 having a grub screw 19 which arms can be clamped against the outer conductor of the cable by tightening the screw 19. An outer insulating cover 20 screwed on to the body 10 encloses the arms 16, 17.
