Abstract

679,410. Cable terminals. BELLING & LEE, Ltd. June 30, 1950, No. 16437/50. Class 38 (i). A connector suitable for accommodating a range of sizes of coaxial cable, comprises a metal shell 10, an insulating insert 11 carrying the centre contact 16, a collet 12, and a nut 13 having a bevel 24 which, when the nut is screwed onto the shell 10, causes the outer cable conductor or covering to be clamped between corresponding faces 17, 18 of the insert and collet, and the arms 19 of the collet to be urged inwards to grip the cable.
