A plug for a metal screened cable or, as shown, for a coaxial cable comprises a metal body 1, an insulating collet 6 and a cap 16, the metal braiding 14 of the cable being clamped between the collet and the cap and a split part 9 of the collet being clamped round the core insulation 15 when the cap 16 is screwed into the body 1.
