1,150,503. Screened cable connector. BELLING & LEE Ltd. 11 Jan., 1968 [11 Jan.,1967], No. 1436/67. Heading H2E. A connector for a screened cable comprises a cable gripping device comprising a split collet 14, co-operating, under pressure from a centrally apertured screwed plug 15, with a bush 13, tapering towards the cable entry. The form shown for a co-axial cable has a metal body 9 and a metal bush 10 having a tubular extension 11 and providing the connection for cable braid 12. The conductor 2 is connected to a member 6, with contact pin 7, in an insulating bush 8. A socket may be similarly constructed. The collet 14 may be replaced by a number of separate members.
