Abstract

939,111. Direct connections between conductors. ANDERSON ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Jan. 31, 1962 [Feb. 2, 1961], No. 3620/62. Class 38 (1). A wire 12 is connected to an earthing spike 24 by a brass cap 13 which has a central bore 14 which is a close fit on the top of the spike 24 and which is closed at the top by a seating 16, and is provided with three tapered grooves, e.g. 21, to accommodate wires of differing diameters. The grooves penetrate the top of the cap so that a wire 12 can be inserted from above, and the cap driven on to the top of the spike 24. The grooves may be semicircular, rectangular, or triangular, and may be knurled.
