Abstract

695,389. Direct connections between conductors. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., and HILL, W. E. Nov. 27, 1951 [Nov. 29, 1950], No. 29176/50. Class 38 (i). A method for facilitating the crimping of a ferrule (such as that described in Specification 568,632) on to a cable conductor of small diameter, comprises removing the insulation a and wrapping the strands b of the conductor round a solid core c<SP>2</SP> which is then introduced into the ferrule d and secured therein by crimping. The core c<SP>2</SP> may be helical (as shown), or of rectangular or circular form.
