Abstract

1,022,288. Two-part couplings. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. April 30, 1964 [May 1, 1963], No. 17108/63. Heading H2E. An electrical connector comprises an electrically conductive body 10 which receives a coaxial cable, the bare inner cable conductor being surrounded by insulating washers 14, 15, 21 within the body. The outer conductor 25 of the coaxial cable is gripped and electrically connected to the body 10 by means 12 and 17, and electrically insulating clamping sleeves 18 and 19 grip the cable outer insulation 27. The central conductor 24 is soldered to metal member 16 which is externally screwthreaded at 16a for connection to the inner connector spike 22. Electrically conducting plug members 20 and 23 when screwed into position secure the component parts of the connector.
