Abstract

760,261. Twist tubes. SCRAGG & SONS, Ltd., E. March 15, 1955 [March 19, 1954], No. 7995/54. Class 120 (2). A false twisting device for an uptwister or other twisting machine has a base 10 that forms a lubricant reservoir and supports a tube 11, a second tube 15 mounted in bearings in the base 10 which are enclosed by a screw head 19, a driving wharf 16 mounted on the tube 15 and a guide eye, pin, rollers or the like carried on the tube 15 for contact with the yarn. A flange 21 may be formed on the tube 15 to prevent loss of lubricant supplied to the base 10 through an opening 23.
