Abstract

653,168. Textile drawing apparatus; sliver guides. DOBSON & BARLOW, Ltd., and HARTLEY, W. Oct. 30, 1948, No. 28192. [Classes 120(i) and 120(ii)] Sliver guides 18 located between pairs of textile drawing rollers 10, 11, 12, 13 are mounted on a support 14 between and parallel to the rollers and have transverse arms 15 lying on the unfluted parts 17 of the adjacent bottom rollers 10, 12 with downward projections 16 which engage the unfluted parts of the bottom front rollers 12 to maintain the support 14 in place with the back and front edges of the guides 18 as close to the fluted rollers as possible. The support 14 and guides 18 are movable under the influence of the roving traverse motion and the guides are preferably adjustable on the support 14.
