Abstract

700.221. Textile drawing heads. HOFFMANN. A. Sept. 26.1951 [Sept. 26, 1950], No. 22492/51. Class 120(2) In a drawing head of the kind normally incorporated in a spinning frame the. fibres being acted upon by upper rollers working in conjunction with a driven lower apron 6 supporting and conveying the fibres, the fibres are controlled between the front delivery rollers 3, 5, and the back apron-driving rollers 7, 8, by several pairs of rollers 9, 13; 10, 14; 11, 15; each pair being vertically disposed relative to the drawing plane, one above and one below the apron, so that the latter passes through the nip of each pair to effect the drive thereof. Blocks 16, 17 carrying the roller pairs 9,. 13; 10, 14 and 7, 8, respectively, may be adjustably mounted with respect to the roller pair 11, 15, or, alternatively, each roller pair may be carried in a separate block and each block may be adjustable with respect to the roller pair 3, 5.
