Abstract
665,594. Centrifugal spinning; yarn packages. DOGGER, R. Dec. 20, 1949 [June 8, 1949], No. 32596/49. Classes 120(ii) and 120 (iii). Yarn packages are prepared in a centrifugal 1 spinning machine by subjecting a yarn, after drafting, to impregnation with a dressing fluid and then feeding the yarn to a centrifugal spinning pot 1 fitted with a removable inner sheath 4; to form a package. from which the yarn may be led directly into a loom. The dressing fluid may be applied to the yarn as the latter enters a stationary yarn guide tube 7 associated with a traversing guide tube 6. Alternatively, the fluid may be supplied to the traversing yarn guide 6, or may be applied by means of felt rollers fitted immediately behind the drafting device. The sheath 4 may have an aperture 5 for withdrawing the yarn.
