Abstract

1,222,435. False twist tubes, spindle drives. ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI, GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 8 April, 1968 [24 April, 1967], No. 16773/68. Heading DlD. A twisting machine has a pair of side-by-side twisting devices (only one is shown) each including a bracket 13, a pivotally mounted boss 11 and one or two twisting spindle arrangements 23, 24 which can be pivotally engaged with the drive 16. At least one of the spindle arrangements 23 or 24 is detachably secured to its boss whereby each twisting device can be operated with only one spindle arrangement 23 or 24. One construction of the machine is such that a single twisting device including two twisting spindle arrangements 23, 24 (as shown) can replace a pair of the devices when each includes a single spindle arrangement whereby the spacing of the spindles 23, 24 of successive spindle arrangements remain constant.
