Abstract

737,452. Textile drawing mechanism. ZELLWOLLE-LEHRSPINNEREI GES. April 5, 1950 [July 18, 1949], No. 8619/50. Class 120(2). A double-apron drawing mechanism is provided with a multi-part cradle comprising an independent upper part mounted on the top roller shaft which is capable of lateral movements that are shared by the upper apron and upper part of the cradle, those parts of the cradle that guide the bottom apron being fixed. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, the upper part 12 of a cradle has a transverse wall 15 which rests on a transverse wall 16 of the lower part 11 of the cradle. Movements of the top apron roller 5 are transmitted to the cradle part 12 which is free to slide on part 11. In a modified form, the lower part 11 may extend above the lower apron 2, with additional extensions flanking the tensioning roller 6. The lower part 11 may in this case have a special transverse piece on which the wall 15 may slide. Another embodiment, Fig. 5, has a yoke 7 for guiding the top apron 4, the yoke 7 being mounted on the upper part 12 which in this case is mounted forwardly of the roller 5 and is secured for lateral sliding movement on a pin 26 with pointed ends fitting into conical apertures 25 in the spring ends 24 of a U-shaped member 23 secured to a fixed guide rail 3. Alternatively, the spring ends 24 may carry projections engaging in apertures in the side walls of an upper part which may be otherwise similarly mounted to the upper part 12 of Fig. 5. A further embodiment has the U-shaped member 23 formed with horizontal slots or recesses into which a pin mounted on the upper part 12 passes when in operative position, the pin having downwardly extending hooks to pass over inward projections on the sides of the upper part 12 to lock the upper part in position.
