Abstract

531,114. Guides for belts of drawing-apparatus. SCHOFIELD, J., and SCHOFIELD, H. July 12, 1939, No. 20257. [Class 120 (ii)] A cradle for guiding the belts of high draft apparatus for spinning machines is made in one or two parts, each part being formed integrally in one piece by pressure die-casting; the parts most subject to wear may be strengthened by being given an extra thickness of metal. As shown, the cradle is in two parts ; the upper part A being formed with flanges a<SP>1</SP> and lugs a<SP>2</SP> for engaging the sides of the lower part B, which is formed with recessed projections b<SP>1</SP> engaged by projections a<SP>3</SP> on the upper part. The sides of the upper part A are connected by a front bar a and the sides of the lower part are connected by a front bar b3 and a rear plate b<SP>2</SP>. Specification 497,507 is referred to.
