590,288. Guides for belts of drawing apparatus. SCHOFIELD, E. J. [Representative of SCHOFIELD, J.] and SCHOFIELD, Jun., J. March 30, 1945, No. 8085. [Class 120 (ii)] In order to reduce the rubbing action between belts and cradles in high draft apparatus substantially vertical projections are arranged on the cradles, preferably near the front. The invention is described in connection with a cradle of the type described in Specification 497,507, having an upper part A and lower part B. The projections e may be integral with the sides of the cradle and may be in two. parts. Alternatively, projections, either in the form of stationary rods or small rollers, may be secured in slots in the cradle sides.
