812,335. Double apron drafting arrangements. RIETER & CIE A-G., J. J. Nov. 28, 1956 [Dec. 2, 1955], No. 36416/56, Class 120(2) The top apron cradle for the drafting arrangement of a spinning machine is provided with a resiliently mounted member that presses directly against the upper run of the apron to tension it, In one form, Fig. 1, an apron guide 9 with flaps 12 is carried by a spring 2 mounted on the reversal bar 5 under the upper run of the apron 23. It is stated that by having the spring slightly narrower than the apron accumulation of fly is prevented. In another form, a single leaf spring may be riveted to the middle of the cradle and carry two apron guides. Another embodiment has a spring for each guide that is bent to substantially U-shape. Another embodiment, Fig. 7, has a a body of sponge rubber 19 fixed beneath the guide 20. Specification 810,269 is referred to.
