751,796. Fibre-drafting apparatus. WHITIN MACHINE WORKS. March 26, 1954, No. 8981/54. Class 120 (2). A top apron cradle in fibre drafting apparatus comprises resilient side plates 10 connected by a cross-bar 12, that guides the apron, and yieldable gripping portions 50, 52 for attaching the cradle to a fixed lower apron guide-bar 22. Preferably, the side plates 10 are made of plastic and the portions 52 may be of reduced thickness to avoid chaffing the edges of the top apron.
