Class 120(iii) The spring supported bottom A of a sliver can C is formed with a peripheral bead B by a spinning operation, the bead being disposed on the under surface of the bottom, and with a central hole D so treated, as by flanging at E or by eyeletting, that it is smooth and will not injure an opertive's fingers. The spring F is attached to the bottom by cleats G spot-welded or soldered in place.
