A card flat for revolving flat cotton-carding engines comprises a body or mounting 4 the surface of which is clothed by a single sheet 1, as may be cut from the band of Fig. 1, having two zones 2 covered with needles or teeth and separated by a zone 3 free from needles or teeth, and so situated that the tangential line of the clothing is at the centre of the card flat surface and in the zone 3, whereby the flat has two carding contact lines one on each zone 2.
