Abstract

524,886. Drawing-apparatus for spinning &c. machines. SCHOFIELD, J., and SCHOFIELD. H. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4373. Addition to 497,507. [Class 120 (ii)] The two parts of the cradle of the drawing apparatus of the parent Specification are secured together by forming the front of each of the upper edges of the sides of the lower part with an upstanding projection having a longitudinal or substantially longitudinal recess open to the rear for engagement by a forwardly extending projection on the lower portion of the front edge of each of the sides of the upper part. As shown the fronts of the forwardly-extending projections G on the upper part B of the cradle are rounded to engage the rounded ends of the recesses f in the projection F on the lower part A and a recess g is formed in the front edge of each of the side members b of the upper part B to receive the top of the corresponding projection F when the parts A and B are assembled together. Relative longitudinal movement between the assembled parts A, B is prevented by projections a<SP>5</SP> at the rear of the lower part A which take behind the sides of the upper part B and lateral movement is prevented by flanges b' and extensions b<SP>5</SP> on the upper part which engage the sides of the lower part and guide the upper past into position over the lower part.
