Abstract
731,326. Cooling cylinders ; oil cooler arrangements. PORSCHE, F., and. ALLGAIER WERKZEUGBAU GES. June 4, 1953 [July 5, 1952], No. 15401/53. Class 7(2). [Also in Group XXXIV] A suction entry 19, Fig. 1, to an axial or centrifugal blower 10, arranged between the blower and one end cylin. der 1 of a series of engine cylinders tc which the blower supplies cooling air, accommodates an oil cooler 20, preferably at its free end and extending over its entire inlet cross-section. As shown, the blower is a double one having impellers 17, 11 respectively drawing air through the entry 19 and through an entry between a dynamo 13 and the blower delivery volute 12. A camshaft 3 drives, via gearing 4, 5, the blower 10 and via gearing 4, 28, 29, Fig. 3, an oil pump 22 supplying the engine via a pipe 23, the cooler 20 and a pipe 26. The pipes 23, 26 extend in the entry 19 as shown.
