[Class 7 (ii)] Steam, generated in cylinder jackets 3, is superheated in a jacket 5 round the exhaust pipe and utilized to drive a turbine 7 coupled to a charging compressor 11. The cylinders are thus charged with air or combustible mixture formed in a carburetter 13 ; the carburetter may be on the suction side of the compressor 11.
